The focus of the Covent Garden area is the Covent Garden Piazza an open square formerly the site of a major wholesale fruit and vegetable market made famous in Shaw’s Pygmalion and subsequently in the musical My Fair Lady; but long since moved to New Covent Garden at Nine Elms.
