CB Richard Ellis and DTZ have been appointed to market laboratory and office space in Edinburgh’s BioQuarter at the Bio-Incubator Building.
Edinburgh BioQuarter is an innovative development that will realise Scotland’s potential in life sciences. It is a joint venture between Scottish Enterprise, Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc, the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian, with a total extent of more than 100 acres.
The Bio-Incubator Building has been designed to offer ultimate flexibility to organisations seeking to locate at the heart of Scotland’s life sciences community. Access to the building is through an attractive reception area, opening out in to the bio-incubator at ground floor level. The first phase of fit out will provide up to 13 individual laboratories, many with their own separate ‘write up’ areas, and in addition a number of small office suites. To encourage interaction between companies, a communal cafeteria, meeting room, and presentation suite will be available in the building.
The building is currently under construction, due to open in August 2011 with the first occupiers expected to take up residency in November.
