Legal & General Property, advised by Lambert Smith Hampton, has secured the letting of 7,798 sq ft of office space in Winchester at Partnership House, Moorside Road in Winnall, to Upton McGougan.
Partnership House, which comprises 7,798 sq ft of office accommodation over two floors, has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment programme over the last four months. Upton McGougan has taken a new 10 year lease at a rent of £105,273 per annum.
The award-winning firm, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, is a leading engineering consultancy with a £4m turnover and was recently responsible for the multi-million pound transformation of part of The Mayflower Theatre site in Southampton into flats. With offices in Edinburgh, and having occupied space in Winchester for many years, the company decided to upgrade its office space and will move next door to the newly refurbished Partnership House in April.
Alan McGougan, Chairman at Upton McGougan, commented: “Our lease on the space we had been sub-letting was coming to an end, and we took the opportunity of the lease end to upscale our office space for the growing team of consultants. To have modern office space that reflects the nature of our business and its brand is very important, particularly when it comes to retaining staff and clients. These offices are an exciting and strategic move for us to drive the business forward.”
