GL Hearn is heading out to international real estate event MIPIM in Cannes to showcase its newly strengthened planning development and regeneration team. The property consultants are one of five professional partners taking a share at the Cherry Orchard Road project stand, a three quarter million sq ft mixed-use scheme which is being developed by Menta.
The landmark regeneration project comprises a series of 4 new towers. The development will provide over 1,000 residential units and around 65,000 sq ft of office space in Croydon, together with other uses and a new public park and plaza. A planning application was submitted by GL Hearn in November 2008.
The scheme is designed by Make Architects and is situated at a strategically important site adjacent to East Croydon Station, taking into account The East Croydon Masterplan, which will deliver over 2.6m sq ft of development as well as major transport and infrastructure improvements.
Speaking about MIPIM, Brian Sloggett, managing director, GL Hearn, commented: "Our decision to have a stronger presence in MIPIM this year is three-fold. It provides us with an unrivalled opportunity to introduce GL Hearn's newly expanded planning team to the property market, allows us to support our existing clients and helps us to forge new relationships.
