KPMG Consider Options for New Offices in Manchester
Five developers shortlisted to provide 60,000 sq ft of new office space

According to The BusinessDesk.com, accountancy firm KPMG has shortlisted five developers in its bid to find 60,000 sq ft of new office space in Manchester.
Schemes on offer include properties and sites belonging to Allied London, Argent, Ask Developments, Peninsula & Century Properties and Prudential, each eager to secure such a prestigious tenant.
Bids are thought to include a selection of new builds, refurbishment schemes and existing properties which would all provide KPMG with offices in Manchester city centre. For the chosen developer such a pre-let could be the catalyst for getting a speculative development off the ground.
It is understood that at this stage all five proposals are still being considered. A spokesperson for KPMG told TheBusinessDesk.com: “We have an expiry on our existing lease at St James House in 2014, and ahead of this, are undertaking investigations into a number of alternative locations in Manchester. A further update is expected to be made in the summer.”
KPMG has offices across the UK and is headquartered at purpose-built office space in Canary Wharf which opened in 2010. The offices in Canada Square (pictured) provide flexible workspace for 4,000 staff.
