Expansion leads to doubling of office space for electrical accessory firm

Building work has begun at electrical accessory firm, Click Scolmore’s, head office premises, which will see the doubling of its existing office space in Tamworth, Staffordshire, to accommodate the rapidly growing business and workforce.

The current site will increase to 120,000 sq ft to incorporate an increased number of offices and meeting rooms, a brand new reception, plus an enhanced Home Automation training facility and a new lighting showroom.

Due for completion in the autumn of this year, the expansion of the premises follows the exceptional growth the company has experienced over the last couple of years. As well as continuing to grow the wiring accessories section on which the company was founded more than 20 years ago, new areas of the business have been developed, with the launch last year of the iNELS Home Automation division and the exclusive collaboration with Energetic, the world-leading low energy lighting manufacturer.

Comments Marketing Manager, Marie Parry: “When we moved to this site back in 2000, our strategy was to ensure we had room for continued growth and expansion. Despite the difficult trading conditions in recent years, Scolmore has continued to invest and grow and we are now in a position where we need more space and facilities for our strengthened team.

“As well as additional offices and meeting rooms, we are taking the opportunity to develop the training facilities that we are providing for our customers for the iNELS Home Automation Systems. We are also adding a brand new lighting showroom to our existing Visitor Centre facilities and this will showcase the breadth of our lighting collection and expertise in this sector.”
