Jewellery retailer takes up serviced offices in Farnborough

Sugarplum is an independent retailer of distinctive jewellery, hand bags and other gift items, has signed up for serviced offices in Farnborough, Hampshire. Founded in 2004 the retailer sells hundreds of lines of merchandise through a range of channels including its web site, high profile exhibitions including Ideal Home, retail sites and via a network of ‘Sugarplumbers’ who sell its range at social events.

Sugarplum sources its stock from independent designers throughout Europe, particularly Spain, that reflect its values, being on trend yet offering excellent value for money. As both directors live around Farnborough they wanted to find the right office that was convenient, local and met their requirements as a fashion retailer.

“Living in Farnborough, there is a wide range of office space available - from traditional, older style buildings to brand new facilities on the airport,” stated Julia Whiteman, joint owner of Sugarplum.

“Pure Office, based in Alexandra Road, Farnborough, provides just the right environment for a growing jewellery company. “Pure Office ticks all the right boxes. In this challenging climate, the space is highly cost-effective and we aren’t tied-in which is reassuring,” continued Julia.

“As a retailer, we have different requirements from the other, largely service industry companies in the building. For instance, we wanted a ground floor office because we don’t want to carry heavy boxes up and down stairs. Also, it is important to have a permanent service desk as packages can be collected throughout the day. Before, we used to spend a lot of time at The Post Office.”
