Angel Building set to welcome new tenants
Expedia and NG Bailey in line to take office space at Derwent London’s Clerkenwell scheme

Derwent London is close to achieving full occupancy at its newly completed Angel Building in the City of London.
It is thought that online travel experts Expedia are about to sign up for 80,000 sq ft of office space in Clerkenwell at Derwent’s flagship scheme, and that building management firm NG Bailey will take 17,000 sq ft on the third floor of the 260,000 sq ft offices.
Expedia has just agreed to sublet its offices in Covent Garden to Facebook. The social networking giant will relocate from 6,000 sq ft of office space in Soho, expanding to 38,000 sq ft at Seven Dials Warehouse, reducing its rent to £40 per sq ft on a fifteen-year lease.
Launched in October last year, The Angel Building was designed by AHMM architects and is Derwent London’s largest redevelopment to date.
Cancer Research has already taken up occupancy of the 140,000 sq ft they signed up for in a pre-let. The stunning six-storey building is well placed for occupiers looking for office space in the City or offices in the West End.
NG Bailey and Expedia are advised by Cushman & Wakefield; DTZ advises Facebook and Derwent London: Pilcher Hershman, H2SO and CB Richard Ellis also advise Derwent London.
