For the third year running a team of 14 from Avanta’s serviced offices in Hammersmith are planning to take part in a 5.6 km race to help raise funds for the UK’s leading childrens’ medical research charity, Sparks, as part of the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge 2011.
“Our team is very enthusiastic and is made up of employees drawn from all of our London business centres,” comments David Alberto, Avanta’s Managing Director, who will be leading the team when the race starts in Battersea Park at 6.45pm on the evening of Thursday 7th July. “We now look forward to this great event every year and hope to beat the £1,100 we raised for Sparks last year.
“As a serviced office company, we are committed to giving back to the local community and as Sparks supports some of the most important medical research undertaken today into childhood illnesses we endeavour to raise all the support, and funds, we can to ensure that the work of this exceedingly worthwhile charity continues. “Every penny raised helps to make a vital difference to so many young lives through the pioneering research Sparks doctors and scientists are carrying out across the whole spectrum of paediatric medicine,” adds Ikram Dahman, Director of Development at Sparks. “The goal we share with Avanta is to help as many babies as possible to be born healthy and grow up healthy. And the only way to achieve that is through pioneering research.”
