B&Q staff move in to new HQ offices

Sir Robert McAlpine completes fit-out of new BREEAM ‘Excellent’ corporate hub

With its fit-out now complete, staff have been settling in at retail giant B&Q’s new BREEAM ‘Excellent’ corporate headquarter offices in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

The fit-out contract was awarded to Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd as an addition to a phased redevelopment project involving construction of the new office building, a merchandising centre and multi-storey car park.

Capable of accommodating 1,500 staff, the office development is designed around three courtyards and features a stunning ‘heartspace’ full-height atrium incorporating a reception area. Beyond this the building provides open plan office space.

An adjoining three-level car park stands above a double-height merchandising laboratory designed to replicate the trading conditions of a typical B&Q store.
