British Standards Institution (BSI) has taken a new lease on office space in Milton Keynes at Solaris Court. BSI, who has agreed a 15 year lease at the 56,000 sq ft property owned by Arab Investments, will consolidate staff from existing offices in Hemel Hempstead and Milton Keynes.
Howard Kerr, Chief Executive of BSI, said: "The new premises will provide our staff with a very modern and efficient working environment. We have ambitious growth prospects and see this move as the catalyst in realising this."
It is understood that BSI will pay a rent of £15.75 per sq ft increasing to £16.50 per sq ft in year five on a building that will benefit from a comprehensive refurbishment of £4m, funded by Arab Investments. Practical completion of the refurbishment is anticipated to occur within six to eight months and BSI will receive three years rent free.
