Loughborough headquarters recognised for consistent use of branding

The winners in the Midlands and East Anglia BCO Regional Awards were announced last week at a lunch in Birmingham Town Hall attended by 300 leading property professionals.
The award for Best Commercial Workplace went to offices in Loughborough at SportPark, 3 Oakwood Drive. The development, designed by David Morley Architects, displayed strong environmental credentials, making use of natural ventilation and ground source heat pumps which resulted in the building achieving a prestigious BREEAM “Excellent” Award. The judges described the building as “iconic”, and a “great addition” to the University of Loughborough.
Home to many of the country's top sports governing bodies and national sports organisations, SportPark Loughborough University is a £15m development that opened its doors in January 2010 and is a brand new concept in sports working.
The purpose built centre comprises of three linked wings of up to five storeys in height and provides more than 43,000 sq ft of office space, with interconnecting communal areas and an energy cafe. It becomes home to a number of sports organisations, including British Swimming/ASA, Volleyball England and the Youth Sport Trust.
Other awards went to offices in Northampton, Birmingham, Kenilworth, Grantham and Coventry.
