As reported in Office Space News in November last year, the iconic Mailbox in Birmingham is being brought to market and is expect to fetch around £150m.

Joint agents CB Richard Ellis and GVA Grimley are marketing the property which was purchased in 1998 for £4m.

The building comprises residential, leisure and retail accommodation in addition to 200,000 sq ft of office space in Birmingham city centre.

"As the UK's largest mixed use building, The Mailbox is a significant landmark for Birmingham and has been a catalyst for further regeneration of the area," property owner Alan Chatham commented.

He added that there is a great deal of demand for office space in Birmingham therefore it is likely the property will achieve an excellent price.
