One of Birmingham’s oldest firms of independent chartered accountants, Bloomer Heaven, has relocated to 5,750 sq ft of office space in Birmingham city centre on the second floor at Rutland House. The move, after 22 years in Lionel Street, is part of Bloomer Heaven’s strategic development and will allow the firm to enhance its offering to clients by capitalising on opportunities of working more closely with other professionals in Birmingham's Colmore Business District.
GBR Phoenix Beard’s Ben Thacker, who advised Bloomer Heaven, is upbeat about prospects for Birmingham’s central business district: “We are continuing to see a steady stream of interest in office moves and expansions within the professional services sector, both from indigenous businesses and those looking to secure their first foothold in the Birmingham market. Proximity to other dealmakers remains extremely important, and Rutland House scores highly on this count, whilst providing excellent accessibility for clients visiting from the wider Midlands area. Bloomer Heaven’s move from outside the inner ring road into the heart of the Colmore Business district mirrors the firms ambitions to grow the practice, and the prominent, central location of Rutland House will be a significant factor in achieving their objectives.”
Managing Director Christopher Stephens-Haynes and Partner Jay Boyce are the driving forces behind Bloomer Heaven’s relocation: “This move marks a significant step in Bloomer Heaven’s strategic development plans. We have built a strong reputation for offering high quality business advice, predominantly within the SME sector. This focus has served our practice well, despite challenging market conditions. Our staff retention rates are excellent and we have the overwhelming backing of our team for the move.”
Following an extensive refurbishment, Rutland House can offer in excess of 22,500 sq ft of open plan accommodation extending across floors of circa 7,700 sq ft. Work is also due to start in October on restructuring the ‘Church Street Square’ area immediately outside Rutland House which will further improve the local business environment. Remaining floor space at Rutland House is being marketed by joint letting agents DTZ and GBR Phoenix Beard on behalf of Squire Sanders Hammonds whose offices are also based in Rutland House.
