Boilerhouse office space completes at Salford’s Soapworks

Phase one of redevelopment of former Colgate-Palmolive site delivers contemporary office space

The Carlyle Group, together with its joint venture partners Nikal and Abstract Securities, has completed the first phase of Soapworks, the former Colgate-Palmolive site in Salford.


The Boilerhouse comprises four floors totalling 20,000 sq ft of Grade A office space in Salford Quays offering brand new contemporary accommodation within the building’s historic fabric.

 

The office building also boasts a spacious glass atrium, complete with an exterior balcony on the top floor, which offers unbeatable views over Manchester and Salford Quays.

The Boilerhouse is just the first phase of the wider Soapworks redevelopment, which upon completion of the entire scheme will boast more than 400,000 sq ft of office, retail and leisure space, 1200 onsite car parking spaces and will be one of the most diverse commercial offerings within Salford Quays.


The flexibility of the floor plates, which range from 2,000 sq ft through to 70,000 sq ft., will attract a wide range of occupiers to Soapworks, which the developers believe will be one of the most iconic buildings in the North West.
