A communications firm has taken up office space in Berkshire that was formerly occupied by Johnson & Johnson.Brocade, a global provider of networking solutions based in California, will move its UK operation from offices in Staines to The Braccans on London Road, Bracknell.
The company has agreed terms on a ten-year lease for the 24,500 sq ft space, the Wokingham Times reports.
"It's great for a business like Brocade to relocate from Staines and show faith in Bracknell," James Page of letting agents Page Hardy told the newspaper.
However, he added that there is still a large amount of office space in Bracknell lying empty.
Brocade's decision to move its UK headquarters to the town was also welcomed by the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.
A spokesperson for the organisation said it would encourage other firms to consider office space in the area "due to easy access and forthcoming regeneration".
Brocade employs approximately 4,000 people worldwide and has a presence in 160 countries.
