One of Liverpool’s most historic office buildings has unveiled a new £400,000 reception entrance.
The Cotton Exchange’s new entrance, on Bixteth Street, was refurbished by family-owned commercial property company Bruntwood, which owns the Grade ll Listed building which provides office space in Liverpool city centre to 48 businesses.
Bruntwood’s extensive refurbishment works included relocating the reception area as well as unlocking many of the buildings period features including the restoration of the original internal domes.
Colin Forshaw, Head of Sales at Bruntwood, said: “The Cotton Exchange is one of the city’s most iconic office buildings and it now has a reception area befitting of its stature.
“When we embarked on the refurbishment works we wanted to give the building a real heart and have succeeded in creating a contemporary focal point that is sympathetic to the Cotton Exchange’s architecture.
“We will continue to invest in the building and maintain its place as one of Liverpool’s most sought-after office addresses.”
Bruntwood owns 900,000 sq ft across nine major office buildings in Liverpool city centre, including Oriel Chambers and flagship building, The Plaza. The company specialises in flexible leases with offices from 200 sq ft upwards.
