Camberley workspace surge predicted
Enterprise M3 Local Economic Partnership anticipates expansion of 70% of local businesses in coming years
Article posted: 14 Apr 2011
The new Enterprise M3 Local Economic Partnership (LEP) recently announced that 70% of businesses in the area are expected to expand over the coming years – this shows high levels of confidence in the local economy, but there are fears that a lack of high quality affordable workspace offering up-to-date broadband, could hinder growth. This announcement comes as Basepoint Business Centres launches its latest centre offering serviced offices in Camberley which will meet some of the increased demand.
These offices to let in Camberley will provide 57 office and workspace units which will range from 195 sq ft to 1000 sq ft, as well as offering the latest telecommunications, meeting rooms and business support – all on flexible license agreements.
Karen Williams, Basepoint Camberley’s centre manager, comments: “Camberley has a strong business community and we are keen to work with local associations, such as the Enterprise M3 LEP, to ensure that Basepoint can help the community to flourish. We will offer free networking events and business support to SMEs and this will help to ensure that the LEP’s predictions for 70% of local businesses to expand can be achieved. Businesses are already expressing their interest in workspace at the centre and we have taken some reservations, with our first licensees due to move in during May.”
The Enterprise M3 LEP launched on 5th April and aims to support and encourage business development in the M3 corridor.
