First tenant secured at Manchester office tower

Refurbished offices at 55 Portland Street welcome Language School Alliance Francaise

Acting on behalf of AXA Real Estate, property advisers Matthews and Goodman have secured the first letting of office space in Manchester at 55 Portland Street. 

Language School Alliance Francaise have signed a 10 year lease on the 3rd floor totalling 5,283 sq ft. The former CIS Tower has undergone a programme of refurbishment over the last 12 months to provide 70,000 sq ft of grade A office accommodation.

Rob Peill, leasing agent at Matthews & Goodman commented "The quality of the refurbishment and competitively priced rental levels have generated strong early interest in the building from a diverse range of occupiers." 

WHR Property Consultants are joint agents on the building.

In April Matthews & Goodman advised an overseas investor on the acquisition of Avon Cosmetics’ award winning HQ offices in The Midlands. The newly developed office investment comprising 90,000 sq ft of office space in Northhampton was purchased from the developer for in excess of £20m.
