A Wolverhampton-based recruitment firm could open new office space in Birmingham this year as it eyes further expansion.

First4Staff saw turnover exceed £2.5 million last year with a range of new clients secured, allowing the company to consider options for growth in 2011.

It is now aiming to achieve turnover of £3 million by the end of the year and will explore the possibility of opening new offices in Birmingham and Telford, Shropshire.

Jason Guy, who runs the firm alongside finance director Luke Adamczyk, said First4Staff benefited from taking a proactive approach to the challenges of the economic downturn.

"It is an approach that paid off and when the market slowly started to pick-up, we were at the forefront, getting people into positions," he explained.

The company, which will celebrate its tenth birthday this year, places approximately 300 people into positions in a variety of sectors each week.

It uses office space in Cannock and Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton.
