Life insurance firm Friends Provident is set to occupy new office space in London by moving to the One New Change development. The company announced today (January 18th) that it expects to leave its current base in nearby Wood Street in April, when it will establish a new headquarters at the Cheapside site.
One New Change is a Land Securities development that offers both shopping facilities and office space in the City of London.
Situated in the shadow of St Paul's Cathedral, it opened in October last year and is one of the largest retail centres in the centre of the capital.
Executive director of operations at Friends Provident David Hynam said the firm was "excited" about the move, which will see it occupy 48,000 sq ft of space.
"There is a real synergy between the flexible, contemporary office space at One New Change and our ambition for Friends Provident to be a progressive, industry-leading financial services company," he explained.
One New Change contains four floors devoted to office space, a public terrace at roof level on the sixth floor and shops covering the lower three floors.
