An office space building in Cardiff recognised as one of the most eco-friendly in the UK is to open this week, according to Wales Online. The new offices of Welsh architect firm Stride Treglown - designed by the firm itself - were given a BREEAM rating of 89.12 per cent during the design stage and boast a number of green features, including a wood pellet biomass boiler, photovoltaics and a special ventilation system.
Environmentally-minded firms looking to rent offices in Cardiff could also find the building ideal for lowering the carbon footprint of staff, as it is ideally located next to a bus stop and is also fitted with facilities for storing bikes.
Employees who share a car to drive to work can also enjoy priority parking.
The offices are close to a building occupied by the NSPCC, which was also designed by Stride Treglown. The two structure share a car park and cycle storage space.
