Northampton headquarters recognised for impact of consistent use of branding

The winners in the Midlands and East Anglia BCO Regional Awards were announced last week at a lunch in Birmingham Town Hall attended by 300 leading property professionals.

Winning the award for Best Fit Out of a Workplace was Avon Cosmetics for their headquarter offices in Northampton on Nunn Mills Road. The judges were impressed with the impact of the consistent use of branding throughout the building, taking the property beyond the bland corporate style seen in many company headquarters.

The newly developed 90,000 sq ft offices were recently acquired by an overseas investor for in excess of £20m.

Other awards went to offices in Birmingham, Loughborough, Kenilworth, Grantham and Coventry.

 Jeff Downes, Director at Corstorphine + Wright and BCO Judging Chair for the Midlands and East Anglia said: “It has been another exceptional year for entries in the Midlands and East Anglia regional awards, with the quality of buildings being put forward being very good indeed. Each category was hotly contested and is a tribute to the tremendous innovation and talent in the Midlands and East Anglia, with teams delivering fantastic workspaces for the end user."
