Harvey Nash, the global professional recruitment and IT outsourcing group, today announced the extension of its network of offices in the UK with the opening of new office space in Manchester at Lowry House on Marble Street.

The new dedicated recruitment hub is in response to increasing client demand in the region for technology experts such as software developers and web specialists, as well as experienced IT leaders. Recent economic trends for the North West of England have been positive and the emergence of a rapidly expanding technology sector in the area, including many web start-ups, has improved the employment landscape.

Jonathan Potter, Operations Manager for the new Harvey Nash office said: "With organisations such as the BBC relocating a number of key departments to Salford Quays, and many other creative digital roles being created - by companies both large and small - it is a great time to be expanding into Manchester and the North West. We are confident that the skilled IT talent exists here to support our fast growing clients and we have already hosted a major CIO summit in the city to discuss the opportunities ahead."

Harvey Nash is already retained to support a number of high profile brands with technology operations in the North West including Co-Op, Yodel and Electricity North West. In addition, Adam Gerrard, Chief Technical Officer at The LateRooms Group, another Harvey Nash client based in the region, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Harvey Nash to Manchester where their expertise will directly support the continued growth plans of LateRooms.com and the wider interests of The LateRooms Group. I believe Harvey Nash will contribute to the creativity and energy that already exists within the business community here.”

Manchester is added to the Harvey Nash Group's UK and Ireland operations include offices in Leeds, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Dublin and Surrey. The recruiter most recently took up new office space in the City of London, Broadgate.
