Henderson Global Investors’ c.£12.4 billion property business has achieved a significant letting of office space in Glasgow on behalf of its German joint venture, Warburg Henderson, for the KAG III Fund.
Jacobs Engineering, one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional and construction services, has concluded terms with their landlord WH Bothwell Ltd (c/o Henderson Global Investors) to extend their 80,000 sq ft occupation within 95 Bothwell Street, Glasgow. The extension follows on from a similar restructure of Idox’s 6,500 sq ft leasehold interest on the part 7th floor (east) and the recent letting of the former Post Office unit to restaurateur Viva Brazil.
Martin Payne, Fund Manager, at Henderson Global Investors commented “As our largest occupier, we are delighted that an agreement could be reached with Jacobs to extend their commitment to 95 Bothwell Street until September 2017.”
Martin Edgar, of Edgar Property Consultants, who acted on behalf of Henderson, commented “We worked closely with Jacobs and their advisor (Vail Williams) to secure a deal that matched their future occupational requirements. In today’s challenging market conditions we are pleased to have delivered a building that is now fully income producing to an extremely strong set of occupiers. Our next objective is to investigate the opportunity of extending the building by constructing two additional floors.”
