A new suite of five laboratories will soon be available to businesses seeking office space in Liverpool. The Liverpool Science Park (LSP) is hoping to attract more hi-tech companies with its latest offering, which occupies the ground floor of the £6 million IC2 building on Brownlow Hill, the Liverpool Daily Post reports.
Chris Musson, chief executive of LSP, said such firms are "vital to the city's future".
He told the newspaper: "It's no good attracting life science companies if there is nowhere for them to go once they arrive here."
Following an investment of £660,000, the five laboratories feature 300 sq ft of "spin-off" office space that can be used for collating data.
Existing office suites at the LSP's IC1 and IC2 buildings range in size from 193 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft.
The original centre was unveiled in January 2006, while IC2 opened in April 2009 and is now more than 30 per cent occupied.
