Alba Business Pavilions Collects accolade at the BCO awards

BCO Scottish Regional awards recognises Livingston office development

Miller Developments’ Alba Business Pavilions, has won the award for ‘Projects up to 2,000m²’ at the British Council for Offices (BCO) Scottish Regional awards.

The BCO awards define excellence in office space in the UK, providing public recognition for quality design, functionality and innovation. The judges praised the high quality of entries, hailing the winning buildings as best practice examples of innovative and environmentally sensitive design and commercial realism.

Pamela Grant, Development Director, Miller Developments, (pictured) said: “We are delighted to have collected this accolade, Alba Business Pavilions was recognised for its ability to provide innovative office space which has been designed and built to the highest quality.

“BCO awards are judged by our industry peers, so this level of recognition is a great reflection on our product offer at Alba, which is providing innovative development in the business home concept.” 

Phil Miller, Chief Executive, Miller Developments, welcoming the award, commented, “Miller Developments is enjoying a successful start to 2011 after being named ‘Regional Property Developer of the Year’ for both Scotland and East Midlands. We are also entering the second quarter with a number of significant deals completed, with more in the pipeline for coming months. We are currently focused on development in the UK where we see opportunities with good occupational demand that are being held back by a lack of development finance.”

Alba Business Pavilions, located at the Alba Campus, is a bespoke development completed in 2008 providing office space in Livingston. It boasts a strong tenant line up, including the Jane Moore Trust, Bridge View Consultants Limited, Compass Catering and Edinburgh Napier University.
