Creative Space Management to operate Toffee factory office development

NewcastleGateshead's city development company 1NG, has appointed award-winning facilities management and consultancy company Creative Space Management as the operator of new office space in Newcastle at the Toffee Factory development.

1NG is leading the regeneration of the former derelict Maynards building which is being converted into a £6m hub for commercially creative businesses. As part of the substantial redevelopment of the area, the Toffee Factory will be a major addition to the cluster of creative businesses already there, making the Ouseburn Valley a unique investment location and one of the UK's most significant cultural clusters.

The Toffee Factory will allow predominantly creative and digital small medium enterprises (SMEs) to move on from existing managed incubator space as well as providing a stepping stone for businesses wishing to move to higher quality, larger accommodation.

The landmark building is being transformed into approximately 16,000 sq ft of semi-managed office space broken down into 25 new work spaces ranging from 500 to 1,100 sq ft in size. Providing high quality office resources and infrastructure in a creative and innovative environment, it will create a like-minded community of businesses.

Creative Space is headquartered at offices in Leeds and operates workspaces and urban realm for clusters of knowledge based businesses including digital, creative industries, advanced manufacturing and sustainable energy sectors.
