North of England commercial property company, Bruntwood, has let the last of the remaining space in at offices in Manchester in The Exchange building on New York Street. Isis, a financial services company, recently took 1,489 sq ft to fill the 32,000 sq ft building.
As one of Manchester’s first privately-funded public realm schemes, Bruntwood has transformed New York Street into a contemporary thoroughfare. The £1.35m scheme comprises a greatly improved retail offering, brand new tree lined pavements, lighting and seating.
Combined with The Exchange’s Grade A refurbishment with new common areas, New York Street has proven to be a popular choice with companies seeking office space in Manchester city centre.
Duncan Gregson, Chief Executive at Air Resources, a specialist recruitment company who occupy office space at The Exchange building said “Due to our business expanding we needed to secure larger and more modern premises in the City Centre. Having been a very satisfied Bruntwood customer for five years we were keen to retain our relationship in new premises. We were able to secure space in The Exchange which meets all our needs. Bruntwood were very flexible in the process. We utilised them to project manage all aspects of our fit out and relocation and the transition between premises was seamless”.
Andrew Cowell, Bruntwood’s Head of Sales for Manchester commented: “Reaching maximum occupancy at The Exchange highlights how desirable and sought-after the building is. Whilst the regeneration of this area and public realm works reflects Bruntwood’s long-term vision to develop and shape our cities.”
