Professional services company consolidate Manchester operations into one location at Belvedere

Global professional services company, Marsh & McLennan Companies, has opened its new offices in Manchester at Orchard Street Investment Management’s Belvedere scheme.

The move is a consolidation of office space in Manchester following the announcement last year that its subsidiaries Marsh and Mercer would be joining forces at a single city centre location which will be home to around 400 personnel.

The companies have taken 39,482 sq ft of accommodation over three floors on a 10-year lease. They will join other occupiers CBRE, Towers Watson, Steelcase, Altium and Arrow Global at the 104,000 sq ft Grade A development in the prime office core of Manchester, benefitting from spectacular views across the city.

Back in October when the deal was agreed, Andrew Jenkins of Orchard Street commented: “We are delighted that a world class occupier such as Marsh has chosen Belvedere as its new Manchester base. We have worked closely with our appointed letting agents to ensure that we can accommodate a variety of requirements and are confident that the remaining space will soon be occupied.”
