UK Independent Medical Services moves to new offices at Goodman’s Rainton Bridge

UK Independent Medical Services Ltd, one of the leading legal service providers in the UK, is expanding its operations with a move to new larger offices in the North East.

UKIM has signed up for 13,000 sq ft of office space in Sunderland at Rainton Bridge Business Park. It has taken a ten-year lease at £13 per sq ft at the Goodman scheme near Houghton-le-Spring. It will occupy the whole of Brenner House, relocating staff from current offices in Durham.

The firm was acquired by US company ExamWorks at the end of last year and this move allows for the anticipated expansion of the business. Established in 2003, UKIM provides independent medical evidence to the Insurance and legal industries in England and Wales.

Paul Healey, chairman of UK Independent Medical Services, told nebusiness.co.uk that the imminent move will allow the company to grow. He said: “We were attracted to Rainton Bridge Business Park, mainly because of the overall feel of the park, but also because of the building’s energy efficiency.

“Moving into larger accommodation will not only allow room for growth, but also provide the team with a new and exciting environment to allow us to realise our strategic ambitions over the next few years.”
