Metlife rumoured to be on the up at Canary Wharf offices
U.S. insurer said to be poised for move to top floor offices at One Canada Square

According to Bloomberg News, U.S. life insurer, MetLife is thought to be considering an upward move at is offices in Canada Square, Canary Wharf.
Sources familiar with the plan have indicated that the insurance firm is interested in taking up top floor office space in Canary Wharf’s tallest building, relocating from the two lower floors is currently occupies at One Canada Square.
If the move goes ahead it will mean an upstairs move for 250 personnel who work for the New York-based firm.
Up until a few months ago, One Canada Square was the UK’s tallest building but it has now been surpassed by The Shard London Bridge, which is still under construction.
One Canada Square is home to the likes of Canary Wharf Group, Coutts & Co, HSBC, Natwest, Clydesdale and Regus Business Centres.
Spokespeople for both Metlife and Canary Wharf Group declined to comment.
