Midlands offices scoop BCO Awards
Offices in Birmingham, Coventry and Grantham recognised by British Council for Offices

Some of the finest offices in the Midlands and East Anglia were recognised recently at the BCO Regional Awards ceremony held in Birmingham Town Hall attended by 300 leading property professionals.
Winning the award for Best Refurbished/Recycled Workplace was Birmingham City Council for its 1 Lancaster Circus scheme. The project developed a tired, redundant building into a contemporary workplace which its employees and, more broadly, the people of Birmingham can be proud of. The building encourages an open collaborative working culture and has enabled the council to consolidate staff from 13 separate properties into one building providing new office space in Birmingham city centre.
Joint winners of the Best Corporate Workplace award were Severn Trent’s new offices in Coventry which demonstrated excellent sustainability credentials, and the Woodland Trust’s new offices in Grantham (pictured) which impressed judges with its timber clad design and creation of an inward looking design to offset the building’s setting in an industrial development.
Other awards went to offices in Northampton, Loughborough and Kenilworth.
