Staff at Capita Symonds’ Sefton office have completed their relocation to an improved collaborative work environment at Alaska House. The team will occupy the third floor of the building with 10,000 sq ft of Grade A office space in Bootle.
Capita’s new home is providing the firm with IT upgrades including the provision of state of the art video and teleconferencing facilities. A remarkable rationalisation has also been made of 57 printers, 13 faxes, six plotters, four scanners and two photocopiers to just two Multi-Function-Devices and two plotters.
Gary Massey, Strategic Director for Sefton said “The project delivery team managed to overcome many difficult challenges to give a seamless transfer. The planning, communications and overall execution by all of the teams involved has been excellent. The overall office atmosphere is remarkable and is no doubt set to be an exemplar office for future Partnerships.”
“Staff can now enjoy modern collaborative work spaces, refreshing break out and project areas that will improve office communication. Not to mention panoramic views of Bootle Golf Course and Aintree Race Course! The office relocation has been virtually cost neutral, and it is expected that Sefton’s professional profile will be enhanced with the improved efficiencies and productivity. Sefton has a new energy and clearer way of working,” he adds.
Graham Cowley, Chief Operating Officer for Capita Symonds said “This is a fantastic office to work in. There has clearly been a great team effort to get staff moved over without a decline in services delivered. The Sefton Partnership is now a strong candidate for one of Capita’s very best working environments.”
