Hatchlands Park is a Grade 1 listed Palladian House by Robert Adam set in substantial landscaped grounds. Once belonging to the Abbey of Chertsey, the Doomsday records show the first reference to Hatchlands was in 1086.
The interior of Hatchlands Park is Robert Adam's earliest documented work in an English country house. Built in the 1750s for Admiral Boscawen, hero of the Battle of Louisburg, the Robert Adam ceilings that decorate the house feature appropriately nautical motifs.
