PR and marketing agency Beattie Communications is set to move into new office space in Essex.

The branch in Rochford will be led by Louise Toms and expand the company's network of locations in the UK to eight.

Ms Toms, a native of nearby Southend, said the company expects its new office to experience "brisk demand from the many Essex-based businesses".

She added: "With Beattie Communications on their doorstep, they will no longer have to go to London for PR and marketing services."

The firm, which already has a presence in Essex through its sister company 11tenGroup, now plans to launch a marketing campaign and outreach programme aimed at the region's top 300 companies.

Beattie counts the likes of Specsavers, Marks & Spencer, Lambert Smith Hampton and Reckitt Benckiser among its clients.

The company also uses office space in London at 4 Great James Street in Holborn, as well as having branches in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
