BP Exploration Operating Co., advised by leading property consultancy Gerald Eve LLP, has signed for 36,600 sq ft of office space in Falkirk in one of the area’s largest recent lettings deals.

The energy company is taking the space at Telereal Trillium’s Antonine House on Callendar Business Park in the town under a new 11-year lease at a rent of £11 per sq ft. BP is to use the office to consolidate staff currently based at several separate locations throughout Falkirk. Sven Macaulay, partner at Gerald Eve LLP, comments: "We are delighted to have secured premises on behalf of BP Exploration which provide a centralised facility for our clients.” A spokesperson for BP adds: “This is a positive step forward that allows us to consolidate and upgrade our office facilities and underlines our long-term commitment to the area.”

Lambert Smith Hampton and DM Hall acted on behalf of Telereal Trillium.

Last month BP signed up to occupy 68,000 sq ft of office space in Heathrow, Middlesex at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership's New Square, Bedfont Lakes. The international oil and gas company agreed to take the refurbished space in three separate buildings at New Square which is located close to their global headquarter offices in Sunbury, Surrey, in the largest transaction to be completed in the M4 corridor in 2011.
