Acting as joint letting agents on behalf of Deloitte, Drivers Jonas Deloitte and DTZ have completed the letting of office space in Glasgow on the 5th Floor (top) of 191 West George Street extending to circa 10,500 sq ft to Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP.
The property occupies a dominant, high profile position, comprising Grade A office space in the city centre. Other occupiers in the building include KPMG, Dundas & Wilson and Monster Worldwide.
Patrick Andrews, Chief Executive of Shepherd and Wedderburn commented: "We are very pleased to have secured accommodation at 191 West George Street. It is a prestigious address in a central location which offers us high quality, flexible accommodation with room to expand. We look forward to taking up residency later in the year."
Joint agent Ian Lochhead of Drivers Jonas Deloitte said: “This is a significant letting in what is undoubtedly a challenging occupier market. The combination of our experience in the market and the collateral of knowledge that Deloitte can bring, coupled with effective partner working with our colleagues at DTZ, demonstrates the strength of our offering to ensure another successful let."
Steven McLachlan of Montagu Evans, who acted on behalf of Shepherd and Wedderburn, added: "Glasgow City Centre is currently facing a shortage of top quality Grade A office accommodation, a situation which is likely to continue over the next 3-4 years, given the lack of planned new development. We are pleased to have been able to secure accommodation which meets with our client’s specific requirements and aspirations."
Shepherd and Wedderburn also have offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen as well as office space in the City of London.
