Construction consultancy signs up for office space at 145 St Vincent Street

Specialist construction consultancy Acutus has agreed terms for new office space in Glasgow at 145 St Vincent Street in the heart of Glasgow’s traditional central business district.

The company has signed-up for the third floor north office suite, which extends to 2,193 sq ft on a lease assignation from previous tenant BNP Paribas Real Estate until June 2018. 

Acutus is moving to the city centre from smaller offices at Mossland Road, Hillington Park, with the complete fit-out for the new office being managed by King Sturge’s Building Consultancy team.

“We had outgrown our current location and were seeking a new and well-located office in the city centre” said Robert Burt, director of Acutus. “145 St Vincent Street is perfect for our requirements and also offers scope for future growth and expansion.”

Commenting on the deal David Cobban of King Sturge said: “145 is an excellent location - Acutus was impressed with the outstanding location, fellow occupiers and excellent facilities.”

Situated at the junction of St Vincent Street and Wellington Street, 145 St Vincent Street was completed in 2007 and is arranged over eight floors, providing circa 46,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation. It occupies a strategic position and is within a short distance of both Central and Queen Street Stations.  It also offers quick and easy access to the national motorway network, main line railway stations and a full range of staff facilities. Occupiers include Anglo Irish Bank, King Sturge, City Site Estates and Remploy.

King Sturge advised Acutus on the deal while Montagu Evans and BNP Paribas Real Estate acted jointly to assign the existing lease.
