Article posted: 01 Nov 2011
Bionow Ltd, the membership organisation for the biomedical community in the North West, has taken office space in Manchester Science Park’s Corridor site.
The move is the latest development in what has been a year of changes for the organisation, which has moved from being NWDA funded to becoming a company limited by guarantee with a membership subscription model.
Geoff Davison, CEO at Bionow Ltd, said of the move: “Manchester Science Park offers fantastic facilities and business support in a well positioned location for the nearby biomedical cluster.
“The region is one of the UK’s top biomedical locations and we are now ideally located to serve and have access to the world-class facilities and expertise on offer and enable businesses within the sector to access significant value more effectively.”
Bionow also has a base at the Science and Technologies Facility Council in Daresbury.
The organisation is looking to build its profile and engage with other key sectors in the North West community. Members can access a range of benefits including access to specialist events, exclusive business support products and discounted recruitment and training.
Lynne Barlow, commercial director at msp, added: “We are very pleased that Bionow has decided to locate at msp and are sure that our proximity to the nearby biomedical clusters and our association with the Royal Eye Hospital development will contribute to its ongoing success.
