Fairhurst Design Group is set to relocate from Manchester city centre offices to new office space in Manchester’s business district, having been at its existing base for the past 25 years.
The architects, whose clients include the likes of Adidas, BUPA, IBM and Peel Media, have signed up for 9,030 sq ft of office accommodation at Orbit Developments’ 55 King Street.
Richard Wharton of letting agent’s King Sturge's Manchester Office Agency team commented: "Fairhurst's decision was based on a desire to occupy high quality accommodation on a single floor plate within the city's prime core. This letting confirms the strength of this location in the face of competition from new business districts around the city centre. We look forward to a long and mutual beneficial relationship with Fairhurst in the future at 55 King Street.”
55 King Street is an address synonymous with the prime business sector of Manchester City Centre, providing a total of 70,000 sq ft of first class air-conditioned city centre office accommodation with some of the largest single floors available in the recognised financial district.
The building was designed by Sir Hugh Casson, winner of the RIBA Gold Award in 1971, and built originally as a bespoke NW Regional HQ for the National Westminster Bank plc.
