Regeneration specialist secures new office tenants in its Manchester portfolio

Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has completed on 11 new deals on retail and office space in its Manchester portfolio, the majority of which have been agreed at Ducie House.
Nine new tenants have moved into the building in March, meaning that just over a quarter of the building was let in that period. Tenants include MCA Anglais, fashion designers NadiNoo and Prototype Theatre.
The office and retail scheme, which is located on Ducie Street near to Ancoats and Piccadilly train station, was one of the first ever Urban Splash projects. Some of Manchester’s most famous exports including bands 808 State and Simply Red, FC United and organisers Ear to the Ground, were once located at the building. The new deals amount to more than 8,000 sq ft of space in total.
Paul Jones of Urban Splash said: “Ducie’s cemented itself as Manchester’s creative hub for more than a decade now and these latest deals again show the diversity and innovation of the companies that base themselves there.”
A further 1,674 sq ft of space has been let at Waulk Mill, a mill conversion adjacent to the New Islington regeneration scheme. Photographers Magma Images took a unit of just over 1,000 sq ft whilst digital creative agency Ubiquitous took a 586 sq ft office unit.
The wide Urban Splash Manchester commercial portfolio also boasts industrial and office space in Castlefield as well as leisure and office space in Stalybridge.
