An international language school has chosen the South West of England for the location of its fourth UK school and its tenth internationally.
EC English Language Centre has announced that it will be opening soon for business at new offices in Bristol city centre, a move which will create 45 new jobs over the next two years.
A new company, EC English Bristol Ltd, has been formed to run the school which will occupy three floors of office space at 63 Queen Square, one of Bristol’s most prestigious addresses.
With offices in Brighton, Cambridge and London, this will be the fourth school in the UK and the tenth in the world. Internationally the language school has a presence in Malta, South Africa and at four locations in the USA.
Bristol was selected because of the ever-increasing number of overseas students who are coming to the city, wanting to learn English while they study for their chosen vocation. Bristol has an estimated 50,000 students currently with around 10% having come from overseas.
Offering a wide range of courses at varying levels, the school hopes to offer courses for up to 350 students within the first two months of opening.
