Luxury car maker and engineering firm Roll-Royce has taken up new office space in Warwick at ING Real Estate Investment Management’s Iceni Centre on Warwick Technology Park.

The move marks an expansion for the company which is also on the lookout for a further 70,000 – 100,000 sq ft of office space in the Midlands, having appointed BNP Paribas Real Estate to find suitable accommodation.

Rolls-Royce, which is headquartered at offices in Derby, has taken 26,000 sq ft of office space at the Warwickshire scheme on a ten-year lease at £17.50 per sq ft. The Iceni Centre is a prominent three-storey building within the 70 acre fully landscaped campus office development of Warwick Technology Park, home to National Grid and a number of other major companies including Smith & Nephew and Conoco Phillips.

Andrew Wall of Wareing & Company, joint agent for the scheme commented: "It is great news for the area to have attracted Rolls Royce to The Iceni Centre. Around 140 staff will be based there and that is a significant boost to the local economy. This is an extremely high specification office building and we anticipate that the arrival of Rolls Royce will spark significant interest in the remaining space. The letting reaffirms our belief that the building is one of the best office opportunities in the M40 corridor and we look forward to welcoming further occupiers in the near future."
