The doors of wealth management firm Quilter's new Edinburgh office are now open

Wealth management firm Quilter has opened new office space in Edinburgh as it continues to expand north of the border.The new premises is intended to compliment the company's existing office space in Glasgow, which has been operational since 2001.
Quilter announced that Murray Clark, formerly of Deutsche Bank, has been brought in as business development manager for the Edinburgh branch.
It is also rumoured that Deutsche Bank's Alan Aitchison and Mark Hallam will be asked to take charge of the new office, Citywire reports.
"This new office brings us closer to achieving our corporate objective to increase our branch network and grow our assets under management," commented David Loudon, head of Quilter's onshore offices.
Part of the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney group, the firm now has a network of 12 offices across the UK, Jersey and Ireland.
It opened a new base in Salisbury last year and also uses office space in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.
Quilter had approximately £7.4 billion of funds under management at the end of 2010.
