New regional head office in Leeds for leading law firm

Dickinson Dees LLP expanding to accommodate rapid growth in Yorkshire market

Dickinson Dees LLP is launching a major expansion with plans to take up new office space in Leeds to take advantage of the law firm’s rapid growth in the Yorkshire market. The partnership agreed yesterday to move their Yorkshire base from its current office space in York to Leeds in order to better serve the firm’s expanding client base.

Dickinson Dees has grown from strength to strength in Yorkshire since the firm first entered the market in 2007 when it acquired Philip Ashworth & Co, a specialist corporate practice with local knowledge. With total staff of 650, including its home base at offices in Newcastle (pictured), the Dickinson Dees partners believe that a presence in Leeds, the region’s commercial and financial capital, is now essential to meet the needs of existing and new clients.

Managing Partner Jonathan Blair commented: “Our business in Yorkshire has quadrupled in size to a turnover of £4.5m last year from when we first opened in 2007. Our move into Leeds will enable us to build further on this significant platform and help us to deliver the strategy we rolled out earlier this year. That strategy will see us expanding our market share and our geographical presence. In Yorkshire we believe we can best achieve this by being based out of Leeds.”

Blair confirmed that the firm will be re-locating its entire operation to a yet to be confirmed site in Leeds city centre. In addition to offices in York and Newcastle, Dickinson Dees also operates out of office space in Stockton on Tees, County Durham and offices in the City of London.
