Some of the finest offices in London have been recognised for excellence in the British Council for Offices' annual London and South East Awards.
Over 500 property professionals gathered at the Marriott Grosvenor Square last week, to hear who had won Awards in this year's London and South East competition.
Winning the category for best Fit Out of a Workplace was Nomura for its One Angel Lane office space in the City of London, EC4.
One Angel Lane (formerly Watermark Place), is 546,000 sq ft of high quality commercial offices with the largest area of open riverside space in the City. It was designed by Fletcher Priest Architects and constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine.
Officially opened in April by the Chancellor Rt Hon George Osborne, the EMEA headquarters of the global investment bank is home to 3,500 employees was represented the largest single occupancy fit-out in the UK covering 11 floors, with space for over 1,800 traders on two state of the art trading floors. The building boasts modern, technologically advanced facilities and includes a staff gym, medical centre, broadcast studio, 220 seat auditorium, multi-faith facility and a large staff restaurant with a 20,000 sq ft river side terrace, the largest roof terrace in the City of London.
Other awards went to offices in Westminster, Canary Wharf, Clerkenwell and Midtown.
