Office interiors firm completes fit-out for SHI in Milton Keynes

IT reseller takes a minimalist aesthetic approach to its new office space

In a joint project with Teknion, Harrow Green's Interiors division has completed a full-scale office furniture supply and design project for SHI's new UK offices in Milton Keynes.

SHI, a global reseller of computer software, hardware and related services, headquartered in New Jersey USA, selected Teknion and the tek/n range of furniture for the move to new, expanded office space.

The local move, and the planned 20% expansion in staff numbers, gave SHI the opportunity to redesign the office layout and the way staff would work and interact. A key design feature has been the provision of higher sound-reducing screen partitioning. “We’ve created more privacy for people,” says Perpetual Clarke, Office Manager for SHI, “but the open plan meeting points will help us maintain cohesion and communication among the team.”

The project scope covered the open office space, workstations, boardroom, separate meeting rooms that can double as training rooms, breakout and reception areas. Harrow Green supplied a range of Teknion tek/n products, an office furniture brand with a minimalist aesthetic.

 “Nickla, Harrow Green’s consultant on the project, was very patient and flexible and helped us think about the move, gave us options, and guided us in the right direction,” says Perpetual Clarke. “She was able to translate ideas into visual presentations so we could see what it would look like. We are very happy with the result.”

“The SHI project was an opportunity to demonstrate our flexibility and our ability to bring a client’s ideas to fruition,” says Nickla Searby, Space Planning and Design Manager. “We’re pleased that that SHI, their staff and Perpetual are happy with their new office environment.”

Harrow Green has also recently completed interiors work for Aviva Investors at its offices in the City of London (pictured).
