Work has begun on new office space in Cardiff at a £1m mixed-use retail and office scheme at Leckwith Industrial Park next to Cardiff City Stadium.
Opco Construction is undertaking the 22-week project which will deliver three retail units to the ground floor and high-specification offices above.
There has already been pre-let interest in the 9,641 sq ft of office and retail “pod” space.
Cardiff-based Opco, which has been involved in some of the city’s most prestigious construction projects, has been contracted by Capital Retail Park Partnership to construct the shell and core of the structure and to fit-out of the offices.
Opco managing director Nigel Coulter said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this challenging design-and- build project and look forward to working with the project team and developing a strong working relationship with Capital Retail Park Partnership and Cardiff-based developer PMG.”
