Accountancy firm Chantrey Vellacott DFK has signed up for new office space in Birmingham on a seven-year lease.Next year, the company will move from its current premises in Hagley Road to a new base at 35 Calthorpe Road in Edgbaston.
Chantrey Vellacott is expected to complete the relocation once renovation work on the Grade II listed building that will be its new home is finished.
Partner Suk Aulak described the move as "a major milestone" in the history of the firm, which currently employs 40 people in the West Midlands city.
"The firm has outgrown its current offices and so moving into a bespoke building fits in with the expansion plans we have for the future," he added.
Chantrey Vellacott is set to occupy 4,750 sq ft of space at the property on the Calthorpe Estate, with the switch expected to take place in May 2011.
The company has not been the only one looking to rent offices in Birmingham recently, as Aldermore Invoice Finance confirmed its move into a 3,622 sq ft unit at 35 Newhall Street last week.
